Privacy policy

This site collects as little as it can and does nothing surprising with it. Here is exactly what happens.

What is collected

If you book a call, the scheduling provider collects your name, email address, and any notes you choose to include, and shares them with me so I can hold the meeting. If you email me, I receive whatever you send. That is the extent of personal information this site collects. There are no accounts, no forms of my own, no newsletter, and no advertising or tracking pixels.

The site is hosted on Netlify, which records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations. I do not use those logs to identify visitors.

The self-assessment

The free maturity self-assessment runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and your resulting profile are calculated on your device and are not transmitted to me or to any server. If you close the page, they are gone. Nothing you enter there is stored, logged, or associated with you unless you choose to share your result on a call.

Third-party services

The site relies on a small number of outside providers, each of which processes some data under its own privacy policy:

• Netlify hosts the site and serves it over HTTPS.
• Cal.com powers the booking calendar. When you schedule a call, your booking details are processed by Cal.com and by Google Calendar and Google Meet, which generate the invitation and video link.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your browser requests the font files from Google when the page loads.
• Google Workspace handles my email. Anything you send to a higginsonadvisory.com address is stored there.

These providers may set cookies or collect technical information as described in their own policies. I do not add any cookies of my own.

How information is used

Information you provide is used for one purpose: to respond to you and, if we work together, to deliver the engagement. I do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing beyond replying to the conversation you started. If you become a client, information exchanged during the engagement is governed by our written agreement, which will be more specific than this page.

Retention and security

Booking records and email are kept for as long as they are useful for the relationship and ordinary business records, and are then deleted. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Business email and files are protected by two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and I will tell you promptly if I learn that information you provided has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will, unless a legal or contractual obligation requires keeping it. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants specific privacy rights (for example the EU, the UK, or California), those rights apply and I will honor them. There is no need to cite a statute; just email.

This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
